Anchovi is Australia's independent supplier credentialing platform for infrastructure procurement. Not a tick-box register. Not a certification mill. A conviction-led standard built on physical observation, independent judgement, and earned trust.
The Problem
The standard exists. Nobody is measuring against it.
Every procurement team in Australia already knows what a good supplier looks like. Delivery capability. Commercial realism. Governance that holds. Behaviour under pressure. The bar is real and it is applied every day, but it has never been measured consistently, and never been assessed by anyone independent of the deal.
So the supply chain is judged on the only thing available: paperwork. And paperwork is the one thing every supplier can produce equally well. Good and bad look identical from the outside. Suppliers who are genuinely ready get caught in the same net as those who are not. Suppliers who are not ready win work anyway, and the industry finds out consequences on site, on programme, and at cost.

We are named after a small fish that nobody orders and the best dishes cannot do without. You would not know it was in there. But take it out and the dish is not the same, because it was never the main event, it was the thing making everything else better - That is the supply chain.
The businesses that make, move and install the parts of a project are invisible in the finished asset and load-bearing in every part of it. When they are good, nobody notices. When they are not, everybody does.
Anchovi exists so the good ones get noticed. We independently assess suppliers. Four gates. No expedite path. The designation can be withdrawn, and that is exactly why it means something: it says this supplier clears the bar today, not that they cleared it once.

As AI-led and certification-only platforms proliferate, Anchovi's insistence on human judgement informed by first-hand engagement becomes a genuine differentiator. AI can assess inputs. Anchovi assesses reality.
Anchovi does not earn from transactions, commissions, or procurement outcomes. This structural independence is what makes Anchovi-Backed™ credible. Conviction that could be influenced by money is not conviction - it is marketing.
Anchovi's model is deliberately selective. Assessment capacity is governed, not unlimited. Conviction is not a volume play - it compounds through discipline. Every assessment cohort raises the floor of what Anchovi-Backed™ means.
Anchovi Events is a standalone business within the platform. The Anchovi Supplier Register - seeded by Stage 1 sign-ups - forms the foundation of an invite-only events ecosystem. Members who have attended multiple events have built relationships with contractors and procurement leads that cannot be replicated at a trade show. Non-members have not been in the room.

An anchovy is not the dish. It is the thing that goes in early, disappears, and makes everything around it better. That is how we think about our role in procurement and supply chain. Nobody changes how they work. Contractors run the same process they always have, suppliers tender the way they always have, and nothing gets rebuilt to accommodate us.
